Sacramento is the next Great American City…and DOCO is our
common ground. As the Marketing Director of the Downtown Commons,
you will play a leading role in creating the place to be in
Sacramento with a strong focus on the new mall.This position will
be instrumental in branding and events planning. You will work
closely with our development, leasing, and asset management team
and as well as with maintaining a close relationship with Kings
team. The focus of this position will be promoting the shopping
center while supporting hotel and office teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Partners with the leadership team on creating, developing and
implementing entire marketing program from brand development,
budgeting, events to execution for the DOCO shopping center.
Creates and drive a multi-channel marketing strategy, including
SEM, SEO and other online & offline channels, to grow activity and
business to DOCO.
Develops corporate marketing and execution strategies to support
core business functions for the shopping center. Clearly
communicates those policies to the entire organization.
Is accountable for strategic management, coordination and
implementation of integrated annual, quarterly and monthly
Coordinates and leads the day-to-day management of marketing
program by collaborating with internal development and leasing team
members, external agencies, consultants and/or contractors.
Strives to continuously improve the effectiveness of marketing
plans and programs for the shopping center.
Tracks and reports on performance metrics associated with local
promotions and marketing campaigns.
Leads strong direct marketing capabilities by combining digital
media with traditional media, supported by clear metrics and
Develops and maintains brand and style guides which detail the
proper use of all brand trademarks and logos. Ensures consistency
in visuals and copy across all media. Provide direction in
achieving compliance and uniformity.
Develops and executes cost effective/efficient strategy
associated with media buys for digital and traditional media.
Ensures execution of social media strategy is consistent with
the marketing plan and brand guidelines.
Manages and performs all public relations and crisis
communication for DOCO.
Plans and executes large events such as grand opening and
holiday events to smaller pop ups to drive business and traffic to
Coordinate ongoing research (pipeline, market studies, etc.)
Prepare marketing budgets and RFPs as well review and negotiate
contracts for events.
What We're Looking For:
Excitement about playing an integral role in the revitalization
of downtown Sacramento.
5+ years of experience in the shopping center world.
An active member of the community and strong relationships in
the community is a plus.
5+ years' experience in marketing, communications or public
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related
Very strong interpersonal skills are required to have solid
relationship with all stores - both locally and corporately.
Exceptional communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in creating successful marketing and
social media campaign.
Must be self-motivated and has the drive to see projects through

Ability to initiate and monitor several simultaneous
